Turn a recording into text you can work with.
A recording is easier to use when you can search it, correct it and take the useful parts with you. Voicerr puts file upload, transcription and review in one browser workspace.

Start with the file you already have.
Open the workspace and use Upload Audio or Video. Choose a recording you have permission to process, then select a configured transcription provider in Settings. Provider credentials, available models, limits and charges belong to that provider account. Voicerr does not bundle an unlimited transcription allowance.
Review the words against the recording.
After transcription, read the result while checking the source audio. Background noise, overlapping speech, names and accents can affect recognition. Treat the output as a draft: correct important passages and check any speaker labels against what you hear.
Keep the result easy to find.
Use a useful title and tags instead of leaving every recording with a generic file name. History search and filters help you return to a transcript. Browser storage is tied to the browser and device, so export work you need to keep rather than treating a local history as your only copy.
Choose an export for the next task.
Use a text or Markdown export for a document you want to edit. A JSON export keeps more structured data for a technical workflow. Keep a separate copy of the original recording when you need to verify what was said later.
BEFORE YOU START
A few practical questions.
Can I transcribe without making a new recording?
Yes. Upload an existing audio or video file. Microphone recording is another way to create a source, not a requirement for file transcription.
Is transcription performed entirely offline?
Transcription uses the provider you configure, so audio is sent to that provider for processing. Browser storage and local review are separate from the provider request.
What should I check before uploading?
Use recordings you are entitled to process, and check your chosen provider’s data handling and account costs. Export important results and verify sensitive quotations against the original audio.
